Full Time Front of House

£10.50/hr. Generous tips. The ideal candidate will have the drive and potential to progress rapidly into a more senior role in the business.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and passionate person to join our front of house team at The Quarterhouse, For candidates with sufficient experience, potential and drive there will be opportunities to progress into more senior roles within our expanding business.

You will be working in a highly rated, independent, chef-owned small plates and brunch restaurant in central Lancaster.

Duties will include:

Working the restaurant floor, bar, and barista coffee machine

Focus on restaurant service, and hosting.

Interacting and building a rapport with customers.

Working closely with the owner-chefs and the front of house team, to grow the business.

Managing bookings

This is a hands-on role, and the ideal candidate will relish working alongside our team in addition to taking a leadership role.

Desirable skills and experience:

Minimum two years experience working front of house

Experience of working in a restaurant environment.

Good professional knowledge of food and wine

Bar, cocktail and barista experience

Attention to detail, passion for good food and a friendly relaxed demeanour absolutely essential.

Hours:

Flexible rota

All roles will involve working some evening and weekend shifts.

Excellent tips (generally working out to an additional £1.20-£1.80/hour)

Chef de Partie

£22,000 - £28,000 dependent on experience. Four day week, generous tips.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, passionate person with a love for good food to join our kitchen team! Hone your skills working with fresh food and the best local produce at one of Lancaster's top restaurants, specialising in small plates and brunch.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable, but not essential:

Pastry, desserts and bread; incorporating classic techniques as well as modern innovations with flair and precision.

A fast paced modern brunch service, cooking and plating dishes to a high standard of consistency and presentation; following food trends and incorporating vegan dishes.

Creating exciting, innovative dishes using all-fresh ingredients and with due consideration for food costings, wastage, allergens and food hygiene.

Passion, flair, creativity and organisational skills, as well as a willingness to learn and develop your skills are absolutely essential.

Deli Manager & Deli Assistants

Multiple positions available, both full and part time. Start date: Early August.

From £10.50/hr.

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and passionate people to join the team at our new venture, Stonewell Spring Delicatessen & Wine Bar.

For candidates with sufficient experience, potential and drive there will be opportunities to progress into more senior roles within our expanding business.

Duties will include:

Serving on the deli counter, waiting tables. serving drinks, assembling characuterie and cheeseboards

Interacting and building a rapport with customers.

Working closely with the chef/owners to grow the business.

Desirable skills and experience (Deli Assistants)

Experience of working in a wine bar or food-retail environment.

An interest in food and wine

An love of cheese-based puns

Attention to detail, passion for good food and a friendly relaxed demeanour absolutely essential.

Desirable skills and experience (Deli Manager)

Experience of working in delicatessen, farm shop or other similar retail environment.

Experience managing a team

A good professional knowledge of food and/or wine.

Dedication, attention to detail, problem-solving, and a good team ethic

Hours:

Flexible rota

Most roles will involve both daytime and evening work, and all roles with include some weekend shifts.
